Liu Shuang graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music affiliated Dance School in 1993, and joined in Liaoning Ballet in the same year. She was a First Principal Dancer of Liaoning Ballet. She was selected in the “Four First-Batch” Talents of Liaoning Provincial Publicity and Cultural System.
The classic repertoires she has performed include “Swan Lake”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Giselle”, “Don Quixote”, “Raymonda”, “Napoli”, “Le Corsaire” etc., and the contemporary repertoires include “The Moon Shadow in Er Quan”, “The Last Emperor” etc.
She was awarded as the Star of Literature and Arts of Liaoning Province, and Excellent Talent of Liaoning Province. She won the Excellent Performance Prize in China Theater Festival, and the Best Female Dancer in the 4th National Lotus Award. The ballet “The Moon Shadow in Er Quan” led by her was awarded the Best Works Award in the Construction of Spiritual Civilization granted by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. In 2013, she won the First Prize of Coach in Liaoning Youth “Taoli Cup” Dance Competition.
In 2015, dancer Ao Dingwen won the Special Prize of Organizing Committee in Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition under her coach.
In 2017, dancers Ao Dingwen, Wang Zhanfeng won the Bronze Prize of Adult Pas de deux in the world top competition Moscow International Ballet Competition under her coach.
In 2018, dancers Li Siyi, Chang Sinuo won the Gold Prize of Female Juniors and Male Adults in the world top ballet competition Varna International Ballet Competition under her coach.
In 2018, dancers Ao Dingwen, Wang Zhanfeng, Li Siyi, Chang Sinuo won the Gold Prize of Female Adults, Silver Prize of Male Adults, Gold Prize of Female Juniors, and Silver Prize of Male Adults in Shanghai International Ballet Competition under her coach.
